About Rightsize

A neighbor who knows the way through

Rightsize exists because families kept calling Cory Wallberg for help that nobody was giving them — and he kept answering.

How this started

Cory Wallberg spent years helping people in the Salt Lake Valley buy and sell homes. Over time, more and more of those calls were about something bigger than real estate: a mother who couldn't manage the stairs anymore, a father home from the hospital who needed help by Friday, a family with three siblings in three states trying to make one decision.

He noticed the same thing every time. Families weren't short on options — they were short on someone honest to help them think through them. So he started doing that work, whether or not a house was ever going to be sold.

That's Rightsize: an advisory service, not a care provider. One local person you can call, who listens first, knows the landscape, and can point you to the right independent professional instead of a list of thirty names.

Why is it free to families?

It's a fair question, and here's the honest answer.

When a family chooses a community or agency we introduced them to, that independent provider may pay us a referral fee — the same arrangement that's standard across this industry. Because the fee is comparable no matter which provider you choose, it doesn't tilt our advice.

What that means in practice: you never get a bill from us, and we have no reason to talk you into a move. Plenty of our conversations end with "stay home, add ten hours a week of help, and put grab bars in the bathroom." That's a good outcome too.

Cory is also a licensed Utah Associate Broker. If a home needs to sell as part of the plan, he can handle that directly and it's disclosed in writing. You are never required to use him for real estate to get help with anything else.

How Cory vets the professionals he refers

  • He meets them in person. No one gets referred off a website or a sales call.
  • He verifies licensing, insurance, and state inspection or survey history where it applies.
  • He asks how they handle the hard days — a fall, a complaint, a family that disagrees.
  • He follows up with families afterward and listens to what actually happened.
  • He drops partners who stop showing up the way they promised. Quietly, and without a second chance at your expense.

Start with a conversation, not a decision.
